Hi All,
Can anyone confirm whether the Pantah / F1 alternator rotors for the two wire and three wire stators are the same? At the moment I have a three wire alternator from a 350 Pantah donor engine, with poor condition stator wiring. But I have a spare two wire stator with pretty good wiring. I checked a few parts manuals and the rotor part numbers seem to be: Rotor for the three wire stator: 080546450 Rotor for two wire stator: 066046455 Indicating they are different
But searching online I found an advert for a replacement rotor that supposedly: "Replaces, but is not limited to the OEM#: 26440091A, 080546450, 066046455, 26440122A, 075946450, 26540031A, 26540041A, 26540011A, 26540071A, 26440122B" Indicating that they are all the same. (The advert states the rotor was used from 1978 to 1986) Any knowledge as to whether this is correct?
Thanks very much Cheers Rob

I have mixed and matched the 1980-1990s (except the long 900) medium-length rotors and stators to create good sets, and have had no issues with that. Can't remember where many of them came from. Even the 900 engines use the medium-depth stator, and are usable two-wire versions. Finding a good compatible two-wire regulator usually becomes the problem. Or grounding issues (got you first Lou). Thanks very much for the info Mike. I'll see if I can get the bike running with the current as-built set-up and take it from there. Cheers Rob
