ALBERO MOTORE!! crankshaft!! summary : My project is to make a 750cc engine block with crankshaft ducati 748R . At first I wanted to change the existing engine block , since it is very normal as processing , I decided to make 2 engine blocks , and before making the prevailing engine block , I decided to have a spare engine block , but doing with the material available to me . I wanted to try to make a balance has to scratch with my original crankshaft , I put into practice my little experience in mono 500 , and I have tried to lighten the central part of the drive shaft , leaving shifted to the maximum weight on the the lower part of the rotating masses . I believe that for us to have a great shaft, we have to move a lot of weight by removing material down the center, then we can align and balance the weight with plates of tungsten . I did not want to do this with my original tree , but I wanted to remove the scartatrice degrees smoothing with small steps at a time, reaching a perfect balance . That will do , will it work ? ? Bo ? ? ... Mumble mumble ..... If I go for the blood test , I also found the ferrous metal inside the brain! I ate so much of that filing that now, if you weigh me . you can find the missing piece of ferrous material that I removed my crankshaft ! I'm waiting to criticism , good and bad !

I lined up the gearbox, with the usual system that I do with my single 500, and I would say that I BELIEVE that it works!
I do a shaft at a time, and shake 4 bolts, I do this for the Desmo gear selector, I leave an axial play, do 0.10 mm, and control that dovetails legs grip over its entire surface if this does not happen, we have to open the crankcase, remove the transmission gears, and to advance the gear shift, so that the dovetail face outlet over its entire surface of the socket.
Ciao Carlo.

Nice work Carlo. I admire people who take the time to shim a Ducati engine. Aspecially on a Ducati mono it is VERY rewarding to have a single that shifts, not one that jumps constantly out of gear. like in this video is noticable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6Zir-luMVwGuest appearance at 2.35 and 5.00 and a couple pantahs included But (of course You know) on a single You have to fit the two shafts with their respective stuff, the clutch on the ingoing shaft, the sprocket on the outgoing shaft, just to pull them to their respective sides. Don't know if that's an issue on the belt engines with dry clutches ? auguri ducadini

It is great watching your mind and hands and tools working all at once Carlo. Especially with so many distractions --- women, food, wine, old towns, and dogs. MikeV
PS: You better crank out some more swingarm side plates! End caps are also scarce, and often damaged.

Have to agree about the end caps for the Verlicchi alloy swingarm being often times damaged and scarce to find.

you must excuse me, but there are times that I do not understand the meaning of the sentence, my translator is rich carburetion!
If I did make exact replicas of the swing arms Verlicchi F1, from my friend Moretti, you tell me?
is that the question? Sorry if I said something stupid.
