Hello Brad,

I've been searching your notes for information on letters stamped on camshafts ; nowt .

What there is about two-valve engines is very interesting however .

salut,

Dick

Ciao Carlo ,

tutto molto interessante : http://www.bikeboy.org/performance.html

Hope you don't mind Brad ........... I think it was in some Moto One notes where I found some very useful info on mods for the Marzocchi M1R forks, y'know, those 6mm holes ?

salut,

Dick

Brad's work on the Performance Notebook is amazing. Great detail and insight - and I've been using the data on an ongoing basis for years.

Thanks again, Brad - for making this valuable info available.

Hi Carlo,
I have added some photographs for interest. The factory original carburettor settings for my Montjuich are:-

Main jets Vertical = 148 + Horizontal = 150
Idle (pilot) jet = 65 both
Choke jet = 60 both
Pump jet = 45 both
Conical needle = no record but should be K5 both
Atomiser (pulveriser) jet = AB265 both
Slide (valve) = 60/1 both
Float needle jet = 300

Long time ago I shortened my plastic choke levers to reduce cold start revs (noise). 3000 revs was too much ? Maybe I will change back.

As Belt Boy says - no numbers on Verlicchi "silencer" . On mine only RISERVATO COMPETIZIONE - no other writing . I think the front pipes are standard F1 with black chrome. My megaphone did not have black chrome only matt finish (perhaps ceramic coating) but long ago worn out. I re-finish with PJ1 very high temperature matt black paint which looks similar to original.

My bike was supplied with Champion RA6YC spark plugs but I now use NGK DPR8EV. They are OK.

Good luck with your search for Verlicchi megaphone. I hope your "translator" reads this OK ,

Richie.
