Hi any recommendations for front disc pads, I have po8 calipers and new stainless Ebc discs, The pads that are in just dont seem to have thebite the lever needs to be used hard to get a reasonable brakeing force. At the moment I am blameing the pads on stainless discs ? |

At the moment I am blameing the pads on stainless discs ? With my disc brakes on normal recommend the Brembo carbon ceramic, cost very little, and hold back very much. I ask you: your original master cylinder is a Brembo pantah? If so, the problem is that. I moretti in my reply I put a brake master cylinder Hornet, the problem is solved to stop, trust me. Ciao! |

the master cylinder is this, but there are no numbers above. This brake caliper is deadly, you just have modular, can make you turn up the rear with ease. this my opinion umble!! Ciao

Carlos master cyl. looks to be a 5/8" Nissin. In the second pic near the banjo is a recessed square with what looks like the fraction 5/8 in it. That is a common size on many Japanese and Euro bikes. You can get a remote reservoir 5/8 cyl. for GSXR, Ninja from just about any of the suppliers for around $100. I have one on my F1 with early 4 pots and it stops just fine. I'm using the EBC HH sintered pads but I'm sure most any of the pad makers have comparable items. If you want to experiment, going to a slightly smaller piston size [14-15mm] on the master will give you more stopping power at the expense of more lever travel. I used the square Brembo briefly and was not impressed with its power or feel. |

But your comment on the calipers ? hello, you must excuse me, my English is incomprehensible. I'll try to do, short sentences and precise. A good braking, is due almost exclusively to a good master cylinder. Your brake calipers are ok. Your tablets brake, if sintered on steel disc, it's ok. The pump of the brake brembo as that of ducats F1, is not good. is too large flow of oil, and difficult to modulation. The Nissin pump that I used, it is not aesthetically pleasing, but it is progressive, so I thought that at 200 km per hour, no one will see that I have assembled a brake master Japanese!

I now understand, I have a nissin Mc I will check its size this may be better. Thank again I will post how it goes when the weather picks up! I was blaming the possible wrong pads for stainless discs. |
