I see images of TT2s and others with strange exhausts.
With some it seems that engaging first gear might be difficult.
With the help of Jim Blomley of Quill Exhausts, me and Tony Rutter don't have this problem.
More mid-range with less noise: <102db

Dick,

You young fellas also have your meggas tucked up there for better ground clearance at good lean angles. Very good looking kit, BTW. Is that 102 dB at full song?

On your bike what is that alloy swingarm?

Thanks for the pics and best regards,

Fran

Hello Fran,

Yes, Ground clearance and gear changing a not too common combination , but Quill sorted it out without having the pipe too short as you may have seen on some machines.
<102db at piston speed 11 m/s or 5000 rpm hoping the guy with the noisemeter knows how to use it.

How come racing cars can make all the noise they want ?

The arm was made by Metmachex , also in England.

salut,

Dick

Allo une autre fois,

Dick, 102 at 5 is not very muffled if these officials are at 15 metres/45 degrees. At my fave track here, it's 98 dB tops taken like this with stationary bike. Such is life in modern times.

Agreed concerning shifter improvements from longer intermediate pipe, we do that as well. Also most of our mob reverse linkage for GP shift pattern -- once tried never regretted.

Is Tony R able to ride for his own amusement and pace somewhere discreetly these days?

Best holiday wishes,

Fran

Yes but Jims exhaust is stainless and a thing of great beauty, gotta be quieter than the bloody big bore scooters in my neighbourhood.
