Question re new type PHM40 AD
These are the newer type with black tops and 21mm nut at the bottom.
For a while the front (AD) doesn't flood when the tickler is pushed. (rear is ok) I removed the carb and can't see any wear or rubbish. The needle seems to be sometimes slightly sticking in the seat when the carb is connected to a fuel line. The needle has a red coloured sealing cone. I've only seen the black sealing cones on older PHF and PHM's Is the red cone prone to stick in the seat ?

Graeme, I have used the orange ones before on Weber carbs and never had any issues. Maybe the new fuels and the rubber are reacting sone how? That’s all I got! Good luck Paul

Hello Paul,
That's all I can think of too ??? Things that make me go Hmmmm ? I've ordered new needle and seat. See if that fixes it.
