Can someone tell me what this thing that looks like a clutch drum attached to outside of the front sprocket is? What does it do? Looks like it is from your country Carlo.

Wow.....never seen that......its a belt drive Buell disguised to look like a Ducati.

Go out on a limb......belt drive starter motor??? Actually....I cant tell if that is a pulley?? or outboard countershaft support?
