Hi to all,
I'm collecting parts to rebuild an original Verlicchi frame for monoscock pantah race TT2.
The frame was sold to me by a friend, it is very light compared to the original pantah road version and very well reinforced.
I found a catalogue by Ncr with this model of frame and some photos of the past.
I would like to build the bike with original parts, so I have collected in this months a Marzocchi 38mm fork with yokes, brembo p8 gold calipers with race 280 discs, race brembo gold pumps, Marvic stremline 18x3.5 rear wheel etc etc...
Engine will be a pantah 600 with all the TT2 specifications, I'm working on the crankshaft and all the gears to save weight and balance them.
If you are interested in my project I will post photos of the working progress.
I'm very excited :D

I like Tecnomagnesios. Nice wheels. And bigger tires.

I see you have a Double System shock. Are you going to use it, and do you know how to adjust it? How much pressure to put in each cannister, and other adjustments? I would sure like to understand the one i have.

I'm not sure to use the Double System, I bought used some times ago but need totally refurbished because it lost pressure in a night so I will send to Silvano in Roma and I will ask information about how to use.
I have also a Marzocchi from 851 that is more traditional, could be that I use this.
Tecnomagnesio are very nice, this set is 17" front and 18" rear... not easy to install in the pantah swingarm but after some pain now is perfectly fix in the correct position.
Next step is to built the rear brake caliper bracket and basket for disc.

Fitting “other” wheels is seldom easy, but can make you happy once it is done.

I have noticed that the top shock mount on these frames is about 25mm farther forward, measured above the head, than on a Pantah frame. So a longer-than-normal shock - 13+inches - will be needed for a better swingarm angle - on most stock versions. I also have a good 851 Marzocchi shock (13 inches) that should work, and may use it.

Would still be interested in what you learn about the DS shock. They are a mystery.

MikeV

PS: don’t waste time on that TT frame in the background. They are common - ha ha.
