Okey, Dokey then.
It was cold and wet this weekend and I managed to knock over a few more jobs on the old girl.
I needed to fabricate a rear master cylinder pivot lever, so I sourced some 6000 series 10mm plate and started to attack it with the mill and rough it out. Once the basic shape was... well... in shape I cleaned it up and pressed in a bronze bush for the pin that it pivots on, added a drilled and tapped hole for the grub screw adjuster, then a bit of a going over with some wet and dry and onto the polisher. And Voila!!

Next up I needed to modify the rear brake adjustable linkage as I wanted a more original setup. So, with some 10mm aluminium bar, drilled and tapped a 6mm hole for the spherical rod ends a bit of a clean up with some wet and dry and it bolted up a treat. I'm just waiting for the correct shollow domed slotted M6 screw to hold it on and this is finished.

Last job for the day, and I needed to mark and cut out the teardrop for the rear seat, overall happy with how it turned out. Its true that the last 10% of the build takes the longest. But at least with these types of job you get to see some fruits of your labour.

Wow! Looking good Lee! Yes the devil is in the details, and yes you are right the last 10% is a butt kicker, but very satisfying. I sold my friend Enzo some parts and he asked if I could 'throw' them on the frame so he would have a roller. He has a ways to go! That's the meg from our own Jon Agland. Lou

Thanks Lou. Things are starting to come together now and every job I do tends to make the bike look a little bit more complete. That bike of your friends is fantastic! And I think it looks almost finished!! Ha ha ha. Yes, I have the same mega waiting to go onto my bike. (I have a few exhaust options). Ciao. Lee.

Another quick update. A parcel arrived from Gowanlochs today, I've been waiting to pop these on for a while! G'day, Mike. Funny, as I'm working through this bike and repairing or in some cases making the parts I need, I really should make a few more and then help out everyone else who will no doubt be in the same situation as me with those hard to find parts. I've got a few ideas on what parts to make, one of them is below the NCR fuel tank breather. I'm really hoping someone has one I can copy. If that's the case I'll see if i can get a batch made, as I think they're the prettiest fuel tank breather out there! Attachment: DUCATI NCR SPECIAL FUEL TANK BREATHER VALVE 1.jpg [ 15.21 KiB \| Viewed 2210 times ] OK, speaking of fuel tanks, I've repaired and sealed the "Big Bathurst" long range tank, and I couldn't resist stting it on the bike for a quick pic! All the fairing brackets are now made and bolted up, I've drilled/redrilled all the holes in the bodywork in the correct spots, now the fairings are off and I have the fill the old/wrongly placed holes and put a sheet of glass mat over the mounting holes on the inside of the farings etc for strength. Hi Lee, I am not in NYC at the moment, but when I return I can probably give you dimensions on the tank vent. If you look, I think you can find a post where I made the drilling template if that helps you. Lou

I used the onewayvalve of the accelerationpump of the Dell'Orto as a breathervalve. you could easily integrate it in the NCR valve without the need for exact copying ciao ducadini
