you must excuse me, but I take this opportunity to find out if you are able to see photographs of the Barber Succes that I have published. I hope not to have done something wrong. I ask this, because it seems strange to me that no friend has told me nothing. Of course, you are not obliged to look at anything that you do not like, it is only necessary to see if I made a mistake of publication. Steve Sorry if I used your own publication. With Friendship. carlo

Ciao Sig. Carlo, No problem with your photos of Barber Success... Only, do you mean to say I need to add a foil Lasagna oil drip tray on my bike????? Perche? It's not losing oil just yet!!!! Your photos are magnificent with you and my favourite racer of all time No. 34. Many years ago, my first bike was a Suzuki RG250 Gamma. The HB colours. I extend my thanks and appreciation to all the fine members of this magnificent forum for your kind words. You are all craftsman of these fine machines. I am just an apprentice. Cheers, Steve

Hi Lee, Mate, it'll be for track days mainly with the DOCV. Thanks for your kind words! It's not running right at the moment. I'm hoping Brad Black can give the carbs a going over and balance them for me when he has some spare time...he's a busy man! I'd love to give him a hand to learn more, but it's his main business and I certainly wouldn't want to screw things up! I had the bike at the FIOM. I'll post some photos of the day. I should have contacted you to ask if you could make it...I was flat out finishing the bike as I had the LHS cover off to replace the pick up wiring. I'm now reading your thread of your build. I'm intrigued of your 916SBK... Thanks again. Cheers, Steve

Steve, yes, at some stage we'll have to get together and compare notes on our bikes. Yes, I missed the FIOM this year, but my dad has a 1983 Laverda Formula 120 Jota that he wants to take next year.
As for my 1996 Ducati 916 Racing, well, I've owned that bike for what seems like forever!! lol.. I've slowly been restoring/sourcing parts for it to bring it back to original spec and it's a labour of love as some parts are near impossible to find. But occasionally little nuggets of gold turn up for it and it's like Christmas!! ha,ha,ha.. That's half the fun I guess.
It's one of a handful of the Factory bikes that raced in the 1996 World Superbikes my bike being ridden by John Kocinski. I'll take some pics tomorrow if you like and I'll start a new thread on here if anyone is interested? My ultimate goal was to have the bike on display in my house, but now with the possibility of racing it in Historics I'm thinking of getting back onto the track, we'll see.
I'll take some pics tomorrow for you if you like?
Lee

Folks, sorry for not keeping you informed of life after the build.... however, things are not standing still. So, after the FOIM 2013, the bike needed the carbs to be balanced and timing checked. On top of all this, I had changed jobs to another industry and spent time laying foundations, therefore not much happened to the little rep. But, over this weekend, a kind chap within the club assisted me with checking the timing and we confirmed I positioned the pick ups out by about 10deg. I must have drunk far too much wine that day when I re-set them for the second time! So, off came the cover and now I need a degree wheel and dial gauge to confirm horizontal TDC. No more guess work. The horizontal cylinder pickup polarity has flipped. I still have not run it down the street a la Carlo! I'm desperate to! Cheers Steve Attachment:
