Yes it is, very easy as a matter a fact.

Actually, it depends: If you have a dry-clutch alazurra then it is probably close to a bolt-on. If you have a wet-clutch engine then the clutch shaft is too short, and there are probably other small problems. It is possible to turn the center of the clutch hub to make it thinner to fit a nut, but it will be "iffy". And, you will have to pay attention to the O-rings other seal rings in the side cover. Hi Mike.

ok, is a wet clutch of 650.
by your answer I understand that he is complicated and it would be necessary to make many changes.

O I thought all 650 were dry clutch, but that is probably only the Ducati SL pantah version?

I think 650 SL were wet clutch, at least the ones my wife had was wet clutch. One hydraulic, and one cable. Graeme

the 650 engines pantah that were with clutch in dry,
I believe that with clutch in dry they were in Cagiva Elefant and Ducati Indiana.

Let's clarify this situation:
Ducati 650SL Pantah - wet clutch, cable operation

Cagiva Allazurra 650 - both - wet clutch, cable operation and dry clutch, hydraulic operation

Ducati Paso 750 - dry clutch, hydraulic operation

Ducati F1 - dry clutch, hydraulic operation *

* later models went from a 28mm clutch bore to 31mm clutch bore

So as usual Ducati/Cagiva didn't set a standard clutch operation for the 650 motor and stick to it...
It is definitely correct that a dry clutch requires the longer gearbox shaft. This arises the problem of sourcing the longer shaft, they are no longer available from the usual sources (Italspares, Road and Race, Ducati factory et al), so those of us that are going down the path of building up dry clutch motors from wet clutch starting points usually end up sourcing a complete dry clutch gearbox. Not so much a great problem at the moment as they appear on EBay regularly as unloved dry clutch Allazurras are often parted out.

You will also require the correct clutch master cylinder, don't try one off a modern-ish Monster etc as they don't provide the correct actuation ratio, and no motor how much swapping of clutch plates, clutch stack heights etc the clutch won't disengage correctly. Which is enourmoulsy frustrating when you're at a race meeting listening to your races getting called and run and you can't work why your clutch doesn't work properly...

And, it is my sad experience that most of the used gears on eBay are ready to be recycled (melted) into new parts.
