After about a year or so of working on this project, the TT680 replica sees the light of day. I even took it for a short (and very illegal) zip around the block.
It's not fast, but it looks cool and sounds amazing with that exhaust!

Very cool.......
By the way, I have one left over headlight decal that you can put on it for your street romps. That's an inside joke, I had an F1 race bike that I use to run on the street some. The headlight decal looked amazingly real from 10 ft.

Have fun,
Clay

OK. I will respond:

Replica: Not close. A bit more "mod" than "resto" for me. But, if you enjoyed building it, and riding it, then it is all good.

Respectfully, MikeV

I suppose you are right, and I mean no offense to those who have created bikes or restored actual TTs or F1 machines. I want to reiterate from the outset that I knew this was not an original F1 or TT machine, but a bike based on an F3 frame. There is no way I'd ever be able to afford the real thing, so I hope my creation doesn't under-value or diminish the pukka machines out there and/or those in this forum. I liken it to a new generation mini-Cooper -- it "apes" the lines of the original, but it has more modern running gear (for better or worse).

I did get lots of help and suggestions from folks on here, as well as Scot from ItalionIron Classics.

There's no MotoGP this weekend, so if you have a half and hour you want to waste,

Bike looks good hopefully, it performs well on the street.
I did notice one thing , it appears you have a tight master link by the photo posted?

Good eye, huit. I overdid it a bit the the motion pro tool. Hopefully it loosens up a bit with time. I green chain doesn't suit a Ducati anyway... :)
