Mirrors
I put a bar end mirror on the throttle side, but being old and not as flexible as I was struggle to get a view behind me. I have a set of 900ssie mirrors. Do I put them on?

Well, you are putting it on the roads. And not knowing what is behind can be uncomfortable, and dangerous. I also try bar ends, but have problems with the added width in my garage; i just keep bumping into them.
Here is where i could use some help: i see you have two driving or rally lights up front. How have you wired for high/low use? Or have you? You must have to pass MOT (is it?). I want to use one for low, and both for high, but cannot find a proper relay for that. Now i use left for low, and right for high (aimed that way). Of course, we drive on the correct side of the road. Any thoughts?
Thanks, MikeV

Mike,
Thanks, I too use left for low/dip and right for high. I tried to get both to be on high and wired what I thought was right, but it wouldn’t work. I used the same connections/diagram as on other bikes and cars, one switched relay for each, then teeing into two bulbs, which has stumped me a bit. It’s one of the jobs I need to sort out. What doesn’t help is I have, the Ducati workshop manual, Haynes manual, an online download and all three are different from the bike. Winter job with a multi meter?

Similar experience here. I can draw what i want to do, but cannot figure out how to do - prevent power backfeed in one direction. And a local automotive electrical “expert” said the solution was to install different globes/lights that have low/high bulbs into the shells! Try matching that up. Hah.
If anyone out there has done this please share.

Checking my notes:-
I thought I could use two switched relays, one for low, one for high and then Tee to two lamps
low Beam - white (G on the connector ) to switch a relay and then T/feed to two headlights High Beam - yellow/black ( H on the connector) to switch a second high beam relay and T/feed to two high beams.
What I think but don’t know for certain is that the negative/earth side can take two beams.
This is what I think and will investigate.

It might be something as simple as running a dedicated earth/ negative back to the battery.
I intend to ride the bike until the weather changes, then it can go on the list of winter project jobs.

I will check the wiring on mine as I have left as low and both as high. I am using a modern Ducati switch that was salvaged from a crashed monster. I have a diagram just have to find it. Stay tuned Paul
