First, to Captain Lockheed, sorry we have kidnapped your string.
Second, Paul, thank you, but do your lights have single or double-element bulbs? Are the “rally” or “driving” lights usually put on bumpers?

MikeV no worries it’s all helpful, I will persevere this winter.
What about double element (high/low) LED’s?

Resisting the urge to fit 900ssie mirrors, I went for bar end mirrors.
They will take some adjusting as I set them static, but on the road they aren’t great.
A few miles today avoiding the rain, just.
I have bodged a 900ss side stand and it needs improvement.

A short spin out today on little Duc, with the objective of rebuilding my bike confidence.
Slightly marred by a sticking throttle, caused by the bar end mirror.
Physically my shoulder is still not right, so I need to work out how to mitigate that.
I very nearly went for some proper overtakes. I saw the opportunities, which is a big step.
Still can’t get the bar end mirrors to show much

A few miles today.
Getting myself and my body back into the groove. The bike is very good. Great motor. I need to set up the suspension. And get some mirrors as it’s a liability on the road without them and bar end mirrors are awful.
Any advice on fork length, sag (both static and rider) both ends? I think she might be a little high at the front end. I am using standard 900ssie forks pulled up through the yokes an inch. Standard length 900ssie shock made by YSS.

Been told to pull the forks further up through the yokes to 35mm, set the static sag to 25mm and the rider sag to 40 mm.
So some adjustment will be done

45 miles this morning, building confidence in both myself and the bike.
Actually did some overtakes and went round some corners.
