Second plug done. Looks okay. I'll polish when I find the energy. Things are coming together with this bike. Still a ways to go. Yes Mike, the bolts come in from the back. This is the way Reno had all these RGB forks bolted from what I've seen. So I followed his lead. According to Reno, Cagiva made 3 sets of 'special' RGB forks that were sent to the USA. I've had them all at one time or another and have reunited them with Team Leoni bikes. When I bought mine I had to find a 'Non special' set. Lou

More excitement for my buddies! Found the energy and polished the bell mouth and installed. I think this is an acceptable way to repair something, no one but me ever breaks! Lou

Lou, there are some wonderful paintings and frescoes in Italy, and other places in Europe, that need some restoration. See if Carlo can get you going on this. MikeV

PS: Have you worked anything in marble yet? A bit flakey, like wood, but but beautiful when done.

Stellar results Lou. My fear of tackling a project like this would be, taking a bad situation and turning it into a worse situation.
Great job....

Thanks so much for the kind words! Funny you mention 'taking a bad situation and turning it into a worse situation'. Trying to avoid this is how I approach every project! I figured if I just used non-powered hand tools, like a file and a hacksaw, I couldn't remove too much material too quickly. Slow like a turtle, that's me! Your comments mean a lot and are a good motivator. Thanks again! Lou

When those racing bikes were built, in that period, anything or object, of any nature, whether sports or work, time was not taken into account, what had to be done was just done, time and labor, now are the reason that everything will have a short life.
The time you used to make the carburetors is right.
Ciao giant

Thanks Carlo, I agree with the time not meaning the same today as it did then. It wasn't about time at all, it was form, function and beauty. Looks did matter, because it was the craftsman taking things to the next level. Pushing himself to be better. At least that's what I always see when I look at a Ducati/NCR. Lou

Yes Carlo, a magic moment for sure! Just a quick note, I did the brakes with the antidive valve and miraculously, no leaks yet! Maybe I'll wake up tomorrow and find brake fluid everywhere, but for now good lever feel and no leaks! Since I'm on a roll, maybe tomorrow I'll install the calipers on the ghost bike and bleed them as well. Lou
