AHRMA is making a change to the Next Gen Superbike Lightweight class that already allows TT2's up to 600cc to now allow up to 650cc. They are doing this because we didn't have too many 600cc Pantahs here in the States but we do have quite a few Alazzurras. So dust off that TT2 and cram a 650 motor in it, or better yet build a new one to race with AHRMA. The rule doesn't go into effect until the 2026 season so you have some time.

The rule says you can use any motor up to 1990 so long as you stay at 650cc. But the rules also say you can have a 2mm overbore. So there's that.

Hope to get a couple more people out there since these bikes were made with one purpose. Racing!

Ah there is that mysterious reappearing post. Just wanted to correct the 2mm over rule. It doesn't apply to the TT chassis bikes and the absolute limit is 650. Its the best I could wiggle out of the rule mongers after many years of trying.

Do you mean the TT2 frame/engine combo cannot be bored +2mm to 83mm (628cc) from 81mm (598cc)? Stuck with only the 598cc?

But the Pantazurra frame/engine bike can be bored to 84mm (682cc) from 82mm?

But the limit is 650cc? For both/all? How does that work? Or are they only allowing a 2mm overbore on the Pantah 600 to 650cc?

You can have a TT2 up to 650cc and the motor can be from a bike as late as 1990. So an Alazzura motor is ok now. Cranky is correct, maximin is 650cc, so no 2mm over bore.
