Hmm, seems what I saw in Frasers in Brisbane was a TT2 not an F2 with lights etc, as in the picture.
Bill Mac said he had a TT2 in the window but had never seen an F2.
It appears there may have been some youthfull over medication on my part?
Still like to find the owner of the F2 on ebay, or the one in the picture,,,,

Hi Graeme,

That looks like a TT2 replica with F2 painted on the side. Ducati made a F1 750 and an F3 400 but never an F2 600 road bike in the same mould, only 600 Pantahs eligible for F2 and TT2 race bikes.

cheers

Alec

Thanks Alec,

I was aware of the F1 and F3, but I was trying to confirm whether the factory made road F2's but it seems the 3 I saw (one has been removed as poor memory on my part) seem to be as you said, kit bikes.

(although someone in Victoria sold the exact bike on ebay a few years ago)

Regards
Graeme

Could this be one of he bikes you all are talking about?

It is registered here in Norway as a 1987 600 FII. First time registered 16.02.1987 in the UK, imported to Norway in 2001
Frame # : ZDM750R*7500683* DGM51787OM (or 0M?)
Engine#: DM500L.1*602180* (registered as 583ccm)
The frame type is exactly the same as the other F1 750 I bought, that are in bits, and with a lower frame number(the 750 has #1237 and the "Cagiva"-font(F1B?)).
Only 24K km on the counter and very nice looking original bike.

The history says that in 2001 it was imported to Norway from a UK Ducati collector. That’s all I know so far.

Regards
Roy
