Last Thursday, Robbie Nigl's stepson, Daniel Peladeau, was a last second replacement for me in the CCS race series licensing school at Loudon, NH. I bailed out because of my hip issue and extremely hot weather. Wearing a complete set of not very well fitting gear (the borrowed helmet did fit) and riding my TT for the very first time, Daniel made good steady progress all day. A TT is actually a little big for him, a 125GP bike would be a perfect fit. The last lesson is a full practice race. He got his worst start of the day due to being in second gear, but worked his way thru the field to win. Since everything was in place, we figured he should enter a LRRS race Saturday so he would be a fully licensed Novice. Morning practice went well, the first session was even on a wet track. He was gridded on the second (back) row of the second wave. First wave was a faster class. He launched perfectly and was first to turn one in his wave. He then proceeded to work his way up to fourth overall. Quite a successful outing for someone with very limited previous street or track riding experience. He has a little more time on dirt bikes. Now we have to figure out what to do with this kid. One thing we know for sure, the TT has given us another great time.

Sounds like you had as much fun as Daniel.
Young and fearless, and they bounce well too. (if needed)
What's with the riders on the grid with their arms in the air?

Bill - Good on 'ya for giving Robbie's son such a cool ride but sorry to hear the hip was playing up.

Do you think the shiny new wheels had something to do with his surprising turn of speed or was it simply excellent genetics and a lack of fear?

Graeme, the second wave has to be in neutral until the first wave gets the green flag, and raising their clutch hand shows they are.

Steve, clearly the later, I couldn't get to go nearly that fast on Wednesday.

Bill has given a lot of people the chance to ride his beautiful and sorted Harris TT just because that is the kind of person he is. He also gave Daniels father Robbie the oportunity to win a championship with that very same TT. Your name on the list is ' Pantah Good' it fits you well. Bravo Bill, you are one of a kind. Lou
