Hi Steve,
The Pinguin roadracing school will be operating on Friday, October 4th.
Will we have to pay to be allowed to ride our F1 / TT1 / TT2 on the race track ?
Regards,

I'm new to the forum but not to ducati. I was a physician full time with Dr. Costa of clinica mobile for several years. I lived in Imola and have much love and experience with ducatis. I have owned many ducatis and 27 bimota models. But I too share your passion for the TT and F1 machines. To me they are the most beautiful machines ever made. I have been following Lou's symposium on line since the first year. I would like to attend this year.
I have two questions about the symposium: 1. Is there a registration per se, or do we just show up? If so please inform about details for each option. 2. Are other ducati models and bimotas welcome at the event and track day?
Thank you,
Don Hi Don: Welcome to the forum! There is no formal registration for the Symposium (we're just a bunch of fanatics without a plan), so all you have to do is pay the track admission, wander over to our area, pull up a chair and join us. You can register for the Penguin Riding School's "Experience NHMS" Friday event if you'd like to go fast and make noise. And if racing's an interest, then register with LRRS for P89 and Supertwins. There are links and details at http://loudbike.blogs.com/loud_bike/2013/08/5th-annual-ducati-tt-f1-symposium-october-4-6th-2013-new-hampshire-motor-speedway.html. Other vintage Ducati racers and Bimota DB1s are welcome as well. We probably wouldn't turn away a YB4R or Tesi either.. I'll be bringing a DB1R works racer and a DB1SR-based racer.. Let us know when you're flying in - we might have someone in the area who can pick you up.. Bring warm clothes - October can be in the mid-20s (celcius) during the day, but drop into single digits at night. If it rains, it will be chilly. We all look forward to meeting you!

Gilles Lachance Quebec City Hi Gilles: You'll have to pay to run the Penguin event on Friday or Tony's Track Days on Monday. At the moment, I suspect there will be a TT/F1 parade, but I haven't heard back from Mr. Weber on this.. Regards,

Steve et al,
Thank you for your response and kind invite. I'm fairly certain that my schedule will allow me to attend. I'm so excited to see all these great machines and also see and hear them on the circuit. At the present time I don't have a track ready vintage ducati. Are modern ducatis allowed for the track day? My current track ready bimota is a Supermono....is that little devil allowed? Thanks again for the kind invite and I look forward to meeting all of you that I've read about in this forum for quite some time!
Cheers. Don

Hi Steve,
I would be surprised if many Symposium participants would follow the Penguin race driving school on Friday for different reasons (some are already experienced riders; many will arrive at the track any time during the day while the school begin at 9:00 AM; others may find it expensive at $250).
Is it possible for you or Mike Weber to negociate with the Penguin school operator or the track manager for us to get a track session of let's say 1 hour during the afternoon or early evening (Friday or Saturday) when we could (for a reasonable price) do more than a parade lap ?
Thanks,
Gilles Lachance Quebec City

Hello Gilles I admit the leasure riding part of the symposium is somehwhat lacking but it looks like the track experince from Penguin is the best we can do. If you check the original post of this thread our original date was in September and we had a full track day lined up. For many reasons that date was changed and the track day part suffered. As we mentioned there is a track day the 7th with Tonys track days. For various reasons we didnt make it part of our sympoium. There is little time duing the races for more then possibly a few parade laps (unless your racing). If soembody choses to race I will meet with them Friday afternoon to apropriately classify their entry level. As long as you have a current race license for motorcyle road racing you wont be required to join the LRRS club for this race. I will check on discounts at penguin and also check to see if Thursday (3rd) is open for some track time. Mike Weber

Penguin Racing School is offering a special discount on "track experience" part of the school on Friday 4 October to participating TT/F1 forum members. Please respond here or PM if you will sign up as I need a head count. "track experience" is tailored to street riders so passing is somwhat controlled but you will have an abundance of track time. Advanced riders can enter open practice which starts later in the morning. I am also looking into track time on the 3rd Oct either just an open test/tune or a track day format. Please also express an interest here for this. Hope to see and hear all of you soon. -Cranky-
