Holy shit, that Aprilia is absolutely stunning! I hate to say this, but it's making me rethink what is at the tippy top of my most desirable motorcycle dream list. My long long long-time number one has been the Wood-Rotax road racer, which still may have the lead because it's an old-timer, but that Aprilia is definitely showing a wheel. Bill

Bill,
Jury's still out does that KTM 690 make a trackday motorbike or just another pretty thing. The builder did ride my TT1 and our Steve cam tell you his reaction. These two bikes I mention are about the same weight. Not going to get 80 HP out of a KTM single.
In my personal opinion regarding function and form we're on the right track already as evidenced by the fact we're on this list. My thinking is we have two methods of engagement with our TT and F1 machinery, period correct and/or evoluzione.
That said, it is pretty surprising how well a TT1 with only a few important upgrades can do on the track against modern motorbikes at trackdays. The concept still works.
Cheers,
Fran
