John Surtees, four-time 500 GP World Champion and a Formula One World Champion died a day or two ago. Many of you are probably too young to remember his name. It seems he was a true gentleman. MikeV

He is out of the history books, was also Auto pilot seems to me, but his face shone with joy when he was near his racing bike, I did not know, rest in peace.

When it came to cars, he had rather good taste. This is a replica of his beautiful Ferrari GP ride which was on display at Barber when he was the special guest of honor in 2010. Photo swiped off Bevelheads list.
