John Surtees, four-time 500 GP World Champion and a Formula One World Champion died a day or two ago. Many of you are probably too young to remember his name. It seems he was a true gentleman. MikeV And I think the Queen knighted him. Sir John. Huit: Never seen anyone do that with a Vincent; and it still has the rear wheel stand on it! |

When it came to cars, he had rather good taste. This is a replica of his beautiful Ferrari GP ride which was on display at Barber when he was the special guest of honor in 2010. Photo swiped off Bevelheads list.
