Well, the Corona virus has really shut down everything, feels a little scary (I am west coast/SoCal USA). Been watching my 401k turn in to a 201K like many of you.

I hope that the impact on all of you and your friends and family will be very small. On a positive note, we have been training for this, lets use some of the spare time to build/finish some of those motorcycle projects we have in the garage. Post up some pics....

I fear that Italy is going to get very scarred out of this mess.
I keep my daughter (working with Covid patients on intensive care) posted of the things going on in Italy, so she can prepare herself for the worst.
No such dramas YET here in Belgium, but people here don't seem to understand the gravity of the situation.
Meanwhile, while in quarantaine, I'm getting my workspace ready although I'm tempted to commence work on any of the bikes.
Let's hope we all get through this mess unharmed.

The Italian people are a great people, we were in an economic crisis and we were pulling up our heads in a small part, now the terror of losing the most dear ones of your family, everything has stopped, we remain silent in our homes, for help to pass this frightening period, our doctors fight a war of heroes, from those who must defeat a monster with bare hands, do not expose yourself, try to protect yourself, stay at home, our government has not taken this catastrophe seriously and now we pay the consequences, people die in the emergency room because the intensive care is over, it is useless to close the stable of the oxen if they have already come out, in all parts of the world you have more services, and more money than in Italy , if you respect the rules there will be far fewer problems.
I'm not going to scare you, I'm just going to protect you.
The Italians are strong, but there is a limit to everything.
I hope to return under that gazebo in Alabama, with Cranky Roller's peanut snaks, and Chris Jensen, where there was an air of friendship and affection for friends.
We can do it.

The world has gone mad, even here in Tasmania, a small island under Australia.
The border is now closed.
But as Carlo says, the oxen is already out.
We are not in stay at home yet but I don’t think that will last long.

I was in Barcelona when Spain shut down (March 14). My son was married two days before in Seville and we were lucky to find a flight back to the U.S..
Had to cut short our stay in Spain by a week. Had intentions to keep my eyes open for exotic bike stuff but now I have to stay at home in NY (not NYC).
Passing the time finishing an old 350 Scrambler and looking at my Laguna. There are worst things to do.

I think there will be a lot of bikes being built now that have sat in boxes for many years.
That is the only positive thing to come from this mess.
Like you I decided to build a 450.

Back in the old days I used to club road race with my friend who had a 450 Desmo He punched it out to 500. He used a stock cam from my Greenframe and machined it to fit. He used to love beating all the TZ 250s in the lower classes. It was a lot of fun watching him do it.

I hope that this whole situation will end soon, Italy was already devastated by the economic crisis, I don't know what we will face.
Let us think positively and the sun will rise again after the storm.

My current corona virus project.....sorry no Ducati content Last registered/on the street in 1970. Not a restoration, a clean up and get it running project.
