Yes Flattop, a lot of beautiful machines on this Forum. We are lucky. Just put on the swingarm and left the bushed pin in place for right hand shift if necessary. Jerry did a beautiful job on that conversion (the former owner Jerry Dean). Also installed the original Pulsar shock. New chain came today I'll install this weekend. Hope to work on the tank some more as well. A lot of the stains and dirt are coming off the parts, but still a long way to go. Lou

Did a bunch of cleaning today. The NCR clutch housing looked so bad when I picked up the bike. Amazingly it cleaned up like new! Cut the modified tab off the back of the tank, now it fit's beautifully! I'll start making a new tab to glass on. Put on a new chain. Also installed the left side shifter and linkage. It's fun when things move forward for a change! Sorry about the picture order. Lou

I've done a few things more to the TT1. When I first saw the bike I noticed the rear wheel sprocket seem like it was hanging off the edge of the cush hub. Just a 2.86 mm shoulder! The chain didn't seemed inline either. When I took off the swingarm I noticed it was cut, ground and rewelded. I also noticed when I loosened the rear wheel nuts, that the swingarm opened up some. Poorly spaced wheel for sure. Don't know who did the work, but they really didn't know what they were doing, and in trying to make it work they really botched things up. I put the new swingarm on, re-shimmed a different cush with a 10mm shoulder. In the end the shim was 3mm. Now the wheel, chain, and tire clearance are good. I also realize why every TT1 swingarm spools I've ever seen are either cut or ground off. They tend to hit the megaphone. Adjusting the exhaust should work just fine. I've always found small adjustments are better than taking a hammer to stuff. Added a picture to show un-machined Cush that was on the TT1. Lou

Isn't it fun to make things? And to fix things? You have room for a lathe Lou? MikeV

It's a very old and small Logan Lathe model 200. Primitive, but works for what I do. I'm no machinist, self taught, but I get by. I'd have to change those old bias ply tires to take it for a real ride, but yes close. I'm going away this week, but next week I'll change the belts and crank her up. I oiled the cylinders and spun the motor by hand, so she's close. Lou
