I have done the nuts and bolts rattled around inside a steel Guzzi tank, but this is something else. Almost as bad a Mike Rowe climbing into a septic tank - maybe not that bad. Good grief. What devotion. MikeV

Bonded the tab to the tank. Seems strong and a nice fit. Just a little fiberglass and paint to finish it off. Still need to put Caswell in the tank, then it's done. 2nd picture for comparison. Lou

The slotted screw is the right screw, very wide so that it has a solid and wide support, but one day you will be in a race, and the front cylinder will not work because a coil is acting up, time is inexorable, the official tests are about to begin, you are removing the tank in a hurry, and inadvertently the slotted screwdriver, slips out of its seat and makes a scratch 2 centimeters deep and 54 centimeters long....... the curses materialize from an American Englishman to a rural and dirty Italian with galactic curses............. put the screw with the Allen head, or cross

You are totally correct my friend, but on this machine, I have been leaving it original as it came from NCR. Now on the race bike I built us, the tank is two rubber straps and quick release fuel lines and the seat is 3 Dzus fasteners and it all comes off quickly! Lou

Dearest Lou, you shouldn't even answer me, but just tell me that I have to be quiet! I like playing with you, and I admire your precision and ability. I wish you and all the friends in the forum a happy Ferragosto.
