It's a ringy-dingy, but that is a cool photo Lou. MikeV

It's a ring dingy, but I thought it was interesting that it had the reversed caliper and the different wheels. Lou

I love the body work on the ring dingy!

Hi Paul, although they have the same basic chassis, this bike and our Forum buddy Ralph Stechows Cagiva vary in a few different ways. I love that bodywork as well. He has three different tail sections for it. Ferarri's bike had the RGB forks and Ralph's bike had the larger 42mm Forcella Italia's. The bike in the first photo also had a magnesium swingarm. Sorry to go off the thread a bit. Lou

Hey Lou...
I've seen the RGB fork before, and always wondered about, how tying the brake lines into the fork affected dampening?

it would have closed (to some extent) a hole in the compression circuit to try to stop oil flowing so fast. pre cartridges they had very little control over damping with the oil flowing through holes bit depending on the size and number of holes. no low speed damping, small range of good damping, too much high speed damping. that addition of anti dive must have made them unpleasant over braking bumps.
