Thanks all! And then we continue with the next Harris:

Ulf Andersson from Västerås bought a Harris frame kit in 1985 and started collecting parts. He and friend Anders Fridman worked with it on and off for ten years, but it was never finished and instead placed in the very back of the garage. Anders finally bought it in 2008 and had it on wheels the same year, but only the season after could race it properly. Engine started out as a standard 650 but is now a very nicely tuned 750 with dry clutch.

Anders started racing in 1968 and has raced every year since up to last year, celebrating half a decade as a roadracer. He raced TZ350:s a lot the early years but is after that synonomous with BSA triples in Sweden. He almost always had a Ducati 900SS (bevel) as a street bike so what could be better than race the last ten active years on a TT1! Anders uses 16/18 inch Campagnolos with treaded tyres but ISR four pot calipers, therefore he competes in the 1980-87 klass for 2-strokes up to 400cc, 4-strokes 4-cylinders to 600cc and twins up to 750cc. I have had the priviledge to race it a couple of times and can verify: It runs and handles really well! And looks great!

I have enjoyed every bit, and save the photos to look over. Still, more about the Swedish models over the last 30 years would be nice. You are a good sport.

Thanks,
MikeV

No Swedish models, but grand British design (while in England)!

Previous picture wa taken at Snetterton in UK in 1987 (if I remember correct). A delegation from my club at the time visited the race to study ahead of the first BoTT tace in Sweden which I have touched before.

Not only strange-looking bikes from Sports Motorcylcles was there, also nice-looking. They entered a DB1 in the race piloted by a journalist from Performance Bikes. Mark Forsythe I think his name was. I dont know the history behind, if it was a modified standard bike or ine of the rare DB1r:s. Does anyone know?

Back to strange British design: at the time I had no idea what it was but after seeing the ad on the web last year I realised it was a Maxton I had spotted.

Last before Brexit: the bike standing in Harris Performance office, 2018.

Part of me loves the bodywork design on this (the red/white blue bike #30).....looks like a cross between a Ducati and a Bimota.

But, I confuse myself, I love the raw mechanical look of a TT, but I also really like the smooth style of a fully enclosed Paso.

On the Maxton's.....what kind of front suspension/fork???

Sorry, I confused myself when writing! Not Maxton but Saxon!
And the Saxon has..., Saxon suspension! You remember the yellow Saxon Laverda that figured in the press some years ago? Cathcart raced it some in Bears racing.

But back to the headline and a couple of Verlicchi based TT:s from that (golden?) era:

Mats Ljungkvist was a Ducati racing enthusiast and workshop owner in the mid-80:s who became friend with Benny Aneröd. Matsini (as hiw nickname was) built a TT2 from parts mainly bought in Italy I think. It raced a couple of times in the hands of Peter Lindqvist, who later started his own frame building workshop, biult his on BoTT racer based on a Yamaha TR1 engine but also several Pantah frames under the name Morani. Matsini came under some fincancial strains I think and had to sell everything off, the TT2 ended up as street bike. I have tried to buy it but no luck.

Second bike is a TT2 with Verlicchi frame then owned and raced but Steffen Buusman from Denmark. I think he bought the bike from Germany and I have no idea what happened to it later on.
