I saw that bike on bikesales.com.au and if I'd had the cash at the time I would have to tried to have got it for myself, so congratulations! A very interesting project, and a very cheap way to get into a TT2. Are you going to keep it as a track bike or convert into a road-going hot-rod? |

G'day, John. Yes, I couldn't believe it when I saw the ad, and I must say the previous owner is a lovely bloke, loves his Ducati's like the rest of us. Yes, the bike will be a track only bike, I've been looking to get into the Forgotten Era period 5 class for a while, so it was just mean't to happen I guess. Another question for everyone, am I right in thinking that there is a 750cc limit in period 5? Then it jumps to Unlimited with a 1300cc limit? So do I go 600, or 750 or Unlimited? And if that's the case, what are my options for bore and stroke combinations? My bike at the moment has 750 Pantah cases, but I believe the 600cc crank inside with 86mm 12:1 pistons, so about 670ish cc? What's a good combo that won't explode!!! lol.. Thanks again. |
