Very interesting though. Hardly worth the effort I suspect however, when there was a factory produced, smaller, better and more powerful engine available.

About the passenger footpegs, as usual there is a nice story behind:
The bike was owned and built by Peter Lindqvist, who later started his framebuilding business under the Conardi and Morani names. He made a few Ducati frames, a handful of Supermono frames and quite a few Rob North inspired frames, mainly for Honda 500 and 750 fours. In 1986 he had a girlfriend who rode with us to Finland on the back of the 950, and later started to drive herself. Her name is Annie Seel and after a short roadracing career she became one of the most successful female desert (motorcycle) racers in the world, competing in a number of Paris-Dakars and other rallies. On the newest/last picture, I was just wondering what M*Star means on the fairing. To me, I am an old Maico guy and when they went out of business in the early 80's they were then resurrected after a short time as M*Star. What does it mean in this case??

M-Star was (is still maybe) the Finnish Ducati importer at the time.

Some TT streetbikes:

First one is a Harris built with a crashed 600 Pantah as a donor bike. Pictures taken at the motorcycle exhibition in Stockholm 1986, where the Swedish Ducati Club and a very nice booth. Builder/owner was the at that time chairman in the club, Thomas Tengros from Gothenburg. I do noth know if he still owns the bike, but I think not.

Second one is a very nice Verlicchi/NCR built by Agne Johansson, also from Gothenburg. Agne sold it to Swedish musician Martin Rössel from band Dom Dummaste. He sold it on a few years later, I think it ended up in the US.

Hi Bjorn, what a small world! As soon as I saw that tricolor paint scheme, I remembered that bike. It belonged to a guy in the midwest, his name slips my mind. He was big with the BevelHeads. I then heard he had passed away. I just remembered seeing it at the Barber Symposium. A few years ago someone contacted me about maybe restoring this bike. He just purchased it from the owners son. I told the guy, not to restore it just clean it up and enjoy it. Here's a picture he sent me. Thanks again for all the wonderful pictures! Lou

I remember that bike Lou! Really ratty, but all there; someone said “it has $30,000 in rare parts on it”. Some things were held on with wire and zip ties. He rode it there and parked it, without fanfare, in with all the other riders. If that is a current photos it sure looks better, if you can believe that. MikeV
