More pictures! This is the Harris F1 rising rate that my friend Tomas built. He bought as a started project, finished it, had an accident with it and built it up again. First version had M1R forks and steel swingarm, after rebuild WP forks and aluminum swingarm. A really nice and tidy bike, Tomas sold it after a couple of years to buy a Mazda Miata, havent seen it since. Also lost contact with Tomas, but not because he sold the bike, just how life is. Then more Harris! In 1988 (I think) they had a price draw for the Battle of the Twins series in the UK, with this bike as the price! Not bad, I wonder if costs were covered in the end... Last but least, Tony Rutter on his Harris 750, photographed at the same event. Again no head in the picture (how is it even possible?) but identification is without doubt! /Björn

Great pictures and stories. Lets throw memory in there as well. Was Rutters bike converted to right hand shift or is that just getting the linkage out of the way?

Tony,s bike would have right side shift.I have a Rutter frame on my tt2 that was right side shift, the linkage going through the swingarm spindle.

Contiuning on images from Anderstorp. By 1991 GP era was over and we had World Superbikes instead. Those years that and some to come that was a really good championship! Falappas bikes photographed in the paddock. That weekend we had the annual meeting for the Ducati Club close to the circuit and invited the factory team for Saturday nights dinner and party. Guess who turned up? Doug Polen with wife! Doug won both races Sunday! There is a great photoshoot sequence of the complete weekend on this link: http://www.werkelin.se/cucciolo/1991-2.htmlShort commentary in Swedish, but most pictures speaks for themselves. Other two pictures must be from Anderstorp in 1993, the very last World Superbike race on the circuit. Foggy going out on the track, I think he was the only one riding a 916 that first year, the rest still on 888:s. The Foggy and wife speaking to Francis Batta, team owner of the Corona Team. /Björn

Hmm, surprised that I didnt get any comments on neither of the two latest postings... Ok, so we move on then! More old dias: A rare shot of Benny Aneröd on the TT1 he bought for the 1985 season. As you might remember he crashed it the first time out due to a oil hose bursting and broke hos leg. He did not do many races on it, I suspect this photo is from 1986. Then Lennart Bäckström on the NCR 750. Lennart was sponsored by the Kawasaki importer but could race the Ducati as well, not considered to be in conflict... He was the fastest of the three Swedish riders at Bol d’Dor 1984 when the Swedish team lead over the factory team before dnf. The NCR today, with a brand new exhaust for the 2020 season. /Björn
