This gentleman has a negative feedback on ebay, for selling a digger ..... curious ... the bike seems preserved, there are rare components from that time, but there are also some missing components ..... your appearance comments on it ....

Well, if anyone would recognize this as raced by TR and sold after (1982?) IOM it would be Pat Slinn. It certainly looks mostly old, with a lot of odd things (like the weird/wrong clutch lever) and modified parts, which happens over time. And some things missing, like the parts to swap the shift and brake levers. But it does not look like it was bought and stored right after the race was over; it ought to have rash on the forks lowers and axle nut. I think Rutter and Slinn went on to win a few more races after the IOMs in 1981-1984, so would they sell what they needed to race in the F2 series? Just a strange story. MikeV

Just got off the phone a little while ago with a guy I know, that said he has consummated a deal for the bike. Agreed, not perfect, but nice. The TR reference I think was a mistake. I was told it was bought from George Fogarty at the Isle. The only thing that would make it special is not shown, the motor! Man it's nice to see these things pop up, always exciting to me. I'll keep you guys in the loop if he get's it. I may get to check it out! Lou
