perfect, but oil window on the left side..... I think oil level will be a little high..
The second oil sight glass is correct according to the manuals. I would assume that this is just to plug the hole for the timing check? |

The glass on the left should be clear. If you try to run the engine without it, to check timing, for instance, you will get sprayed with oil! Ask me how I know that. MikeV |

Ok Mike, how do you know?! I laughed out loud. The little metal star in the center of the sight window can be removed. Lou |

MikeV I figured this Mike, but given the difficulty in getting hold of the original sight glasses to start with I'm reluctant to pull it apart. I'm waiting for the Santamonica to turn up so that I can see what it has fitted, in case I need this new one for that bike. Clinton |

Thanks Mike, but I spoke to Ian some time ago & the one's that he has aren't the original black ones - these are the same part number but were a later part & are an ally finish. He said he was working on finding a manufacturer to make some reproduction ones in black but didn't think it would happen for a while yet. I found mine through a dealer in Europe after sending out a group e-mail to the dealers. Clinton |

Hey Lou, sometimes, here in Oregon, those things fog up, and you cannot see anything inside. Or, they are just plain cloudy to begin with. So, one day, I got the bright idea just to remove it so I could see really good. It did not work out! MikeV |
