Nice parts, but carburators should be PHF36MD/MS type for F1B and not PHF36AD/AS type which are fitted to F1A. Or was specification different for Australia? cheers, and Keep on good work horst |

Horst - I noted the difference in carbs & have spoken to the original & second owners who both confirmed that these are the carbs that the bike was delivered with. I have put this down to the fact that this bike is one of the earliest F1B's & they probably used the same carbs as the F1A in an early batch (Ducati being Ducati at the time). My original paintwork is also a little different to the "usual" F1B in that the bike does not have the Cagiva logo on the side fairings. Another guy I know has another very early example & it is the same as mine, but his has 40mm carbs (he agrees that these would have been changed out by one of the previous owners) so i wasnt able to compare these. And on that note I haven even seen an earlier F1B that was fitted with the F1A dash & yet another with the Marzocchi forks, it obviously took them a bit of trial & error till they found one they liked Clinton |
