Hi, that is the hardest part to find if you are restoring a TT1 or 2! It is a Motoplat pushbutton starter switch. The part number is 9670501. It has 2 studs and 1 male spade terminal. One stud is battery direct the other to the starter. The spade is to the Verlicchi on/off switch on the throttle. At least thats how it is on my TT1. I am sure you can replace this with any number of starter solenoids but they will probably not have the button. You really don't need it. I bought a Kawasaki one on ebay to try. It seems to fit but I have not yet tried to make it work. . I am sure some of the guys on the Forum could find something that would work just as well. If anyone has a crate of the Motoplat switches in his/her garage please let me know! Lou

Ciao Veleno , I think you said this switch.
We call disconnect the battery.

You can leave the battery attached with one click.

The switches to make the starting of the engine, the sign. Rino Caracchi, NCR, told me that the button on the TT2 is a start button of a car.

I have to go find it Rino Caracchi, I will ask him this.

I must admit that I've never seen such a thing before! However I am lucky that I have a donor bike,
so I can just take the normal twistgrip switch and solenoid from there............... :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

May I ask, as Lou has so kindly given us a picture of the H-shaped plate - used to house the
electrics...........can anybody kindly provide the measurements the largest dimensions of
said plate, as I am all ready to purchase a piece of "something light" with which to manufacture
my own electrics-mounting plate/bracket/thingy................???

I think that I'm OK with the dimensions now, Lou. I emailed my girlfriend in Philippines (where the bike is)
and she managed - gawd knows how - to tell me approximate dimensions........ :D :D :D
So now I have a piece of Ti on order - an offcut sized 293mm by 152mm - so I'll just hope that I can get
all the bibs and bobs to fit ON it..................... :roll: :roll: :roll:

Hi, I think it's 4mm thick and they mill a 2mm recess around the ignition pickup plug, if you are a stickler for originality. It will snap into place if the 4 pin plug still has its 'ears'. Lou

Thanks for that LOU. Once you've SEEN a few pictures of my bike you will reallise that I am ANYTHING BUT

The Leitmotif for my TT2 is lightness, more lightness, and yet MORE lightness...................!!!
And in persuing this aim, I am more than happy to trample a few ducatiesque sacred cows into the cloying mud of
altmoded tradition. My hope, in following Ing Taglioni in his original reasoning with the TT2 is esentially more of the

Wouldn't that plate be lighter if cut from Aluminum plate, instead of Ti? Cheaper too.
