Hi Carlo, sorry to hear the delta box is giving you trouble, I have faith in your ability to get it working my friend. Now that my back is feeling better, I am reorganizing my shop to get to work. As soon as I have pictures of progress, I will post them. Lou

It won't stop snowing here so small stuff is being done. The turtle moved a little bit. I'll shape the fender bracket next and cut the slots in the fender. Waiting on some hardware. Lou

Thanks Captain! I'll keep posting the years long project and advancement. As meager as it is! Some more hardware and cutting the fender windows. Lou

Keep it up Lou.........
So, should there be 4 or 5 windows???? I have seen both, it seems early fenders of that style had 5 slots, later had 4??

Hi Cal, I'd have to ask Carlo on this one. The fender that came with the Moretti kit #003 had 4 'windows' molded into the fiberglass, so I cut 4. I like asymmetrical and strange so why not. I'm using the fender bracket because of the forks I'm using. The Carlo made flat bracket had to be cut to size to fit the forks and fork mounts. Then shaped with the shot bag and a few hammers to the curve of the fender and the compound curve in the center. Next, bend the ears a bit to level the fender. Sand away all the nicks and gouges. I'm at 400 right now. I drilled the mounting holes (4) and just two holes to hold the fender to the bracket, and used Cleco's. Looks good for now. I'm a little embarrassed to say this fender bracket job took hours and hours to do and I'm not done. I've taken years to build this bike because I promised myself I'd make something special to coincide with Carlos epic accomplishment of building these Moretti's. It's going to be my idea of a Moretti period endurance racer. Polish next and make hardware. Lou

I have always like the F1-style fender, which looks much like the TT2 fender. But the location of the bolt heads inside can be a problem with some tires. They are actually a slight bit too narrow for the forks, and most get stretched outward over time. The bracket solves that. And that front end will be beautiful. MikeV

You're doing great, brother!
