Now I speak seriously, I hope you will do a conservative restoration, that bike oozes history and battles from every pore, but it's my humble opinion.
Big Paul!

Thanks Cal and Mike.
Mike I did find my old pantah in Alberta, motor was toast but they did not want to sell.
There is a lot of Reno on this motor, the drains from the rocker covers the vents front and rear.
I have never carbs with 195 and 190 main jets.
The motor is a monster 66x92!
The motor had a ncr clutch and some point in time, too bad it still wasn’t there.
There is enough little jobs to keep me busy for the winter.
Paul

Hey Paul.....wow.....thats a big motor, not far away from 900cc?? That rear disc and in some old pictures looks like a lockheed set up?? I dont recall seeing many set ups like that in this period??

See ya,
Clay

Cal, yes it was a Lockheed long gone I am afraid, the rear disc is a zanazani aluminum alloy with a plasma coated braking surface

Motor is out!
I remember when I could lift and move a pantah motor around with ease... it really sucks getting old.

Paul,

I know how it feels - I try to bore as many holes as possible to make the motor a little lighter...

cheers

Sone progress while waiting for the frame to come back from paint,
I sent the rear shock out, it was a real pain to get parts from works, they didn’t seem to care about old shocks they had custom built years ago, all good now.

I spoke with Lou about what to do with the bringing the swingarm back to a reasonable finish.
I went at it with the coarse scotch brite then used a wire brush and some wd40 to keep it wet.
Thanks Lou!

Heads came back from a little clean up of the valve seats, guides were good.

Cylinders were out to the max and a little out of round, I had a pair of cylinders that could go out to 92 from 90 so that is done.
I spoke to total seal and found some conventional rings that will work.

I have changed the oil lines to the heads as they were routed very strangely, do to the port configuration of the cooler.
The cooler was replaced with a paso cooler so the lines should now have a nice clear path.

The weather today was sunny and around plus 4c so I lit the bbq up painted the heads then cooked them.
I then did the clutch cover and the oil cooler.

A race bike with history and patina, and some rare parts thrown in to the equation. Love it. Enjoy the build Paul. Boucher.

Last job for the day was to get the oil cooler and tach mounted.
