Heartbreaking, but our friend Paul is as talented as anyone on this Forum. He will have her back together, and more beautiful sooner than later. This bike was a challenge from the start. First finding an old war horse, and having the talent to bring her back. You've got this Paul, and we are all here to cheer you on! Lou

I have been replaying the fire in my head all night questioning could what could I have done differently.
The best thing I did was use a remote fuel bottle and not the tank as it would have definitely been much worse.
Today is a new day!

You are right. It could have been much worse. I always advocate that the first and subsequent starting's should be done outdoors with a fire extinguisher at the ready, until the fuel system has been proven. An out-of-control bike fire can not only destroy the bike but also the structure it is in and all of its contents. Something to seriously consider.

Carlo my friend you always manage to put a smile on our faces!
All cleaned up, I picked up paint today to blend in the areas that needed to be sanded, shock hose replaced springs was cleaned and repainted.
Special thanks to Lou for a new brake fluid reservoir, intake boot and inner fender.

Dearest Paul, you are a hard worker, and you are not afraid of anything, in this group of crazy webs, we go with patches on the ass, but our bikes will always be perfectly in place, sometimes I who ask, if I was close to you at home, or to lou saif .... being close to Cranky would be science fiction, I think they saw a space rocket rise from the garden.
If I was there near you, I would have given you many details and spare parts that are on my shelves to collect dust, but in exchange for coffee ... pastries .... lasagna ....
