A couple more things off the list before first start up, oil in, turned the motor over with the ignition off got lots oil to the heads. I will pick up some new plugs Tuesday when the shops are open and see what happens next! Fingers and toes crossed

as always it will be a success, look forward to the roar! ps.to you, has it ever happened, that on the first start of the engine, the throttle wire gets stuck and the bike goes up to 17500000 rpm .... and you don't know how to turn off the engine, then you decide to take the ax and you kill him on the bench of your workshop ????

I have had that happen before but only to about 4000 but it sounds like 17000! I like many on this forum have learned to keep one hand on the kill switch. Thanks for your support! Paul

Could have been a really bad day today! The rear carb caught fire… melted some wiring and the rear brake hose, the crank case vent hose and a little paint. She went up pretty fast as there was fuel sitting on the inner fender from using the ticklers. By the time I got the fuel shut off and and the extinguisher the damage was done, it could have been so much worse, I feel pretty bad as I was so close to being finished.
