Took a break from wiring today, bled the front and rear brakes, adjusted and tightened up the belts. Tightened up the oil lines, I need to put the left side cover on after checking the pick up wires as I couldn’t remember doing g it before I put the cover back on I test fit the exhaust. Time for a beer!!

My ignition is inside my Left side cover. Do you ride sitting backwards? Hold off on the beer. MikeV

So the adventure continues! I finished up the wiring and did a test got power everywhere, next step was to prime the pump with out ignition on and ….. all I get is click I put 13 volts fused direct to the starter and the fuse pops. Remove the cover pull the starter and take it to my starter guy, it seems somehow water hit in froze and destroyed the field coil, that’s the theory. I installed a new starter from a late model Ducati. The gear has less teeth and is smaller than the original, I went into my box of spares and found an intermediate gear from a 748/916 that works perfectly. All back together again …

Isn’t it fun removing all the things on the left side just to get to one thing inside? Is this also after you checked the ignition pickups last time? Good mix & match Paul.
