Hello,
I am new to the forum but not new to bikes or to Ducati's for that matter. As you can probably tell from my screen name, I have a 1978 Ducati Darmah. I also have a very nice and original 1981 Ducati Pantah.
I have been bitten by the vintage racing bug and plan on racing with AHRMA this year. I really want to race a Pantah, but mine is just too nice to turn into a racer. So that leaves me looking for another Pantah or a Cagiva Alazzurra. A bike that has already been converted to track duty would be ideal. I live in northern Illinois, but I am willing to travel for the right bike. I also have cash in hand.
Thanks Dave

Update. I found an 81 Pantah, so I am no longer looking for one. It does however, have an early style 500 engine with the Borgo pistons. Engine number 601474.
Does anybody need an early 500 engine? I would love to trade for a 650 or 750 sport engine since those are much more condusive to modifications for racing.
Dave
