Howdy pardner... What is the O.D. of the secondary the muffler is going to fit over and where does the header end, relative to the motor. I've got a home made pipe for a Pantah/Alazzurra but the I.D. of the inlet was made for a different head pipe. It also may be to long to be used with the stock F1 header. Are you planning on using it or selling it as a complete system? Regards.... Flattop

Thanx for responses...... I want to put together a pipe thats a little more street friendly(muffled) than that open TT megaphone on my bike. Then I could have a race pipe and street pipe. I have that really nice stock head pipe so was hoping easiest thing to do is find a muffler to fit. The OEM head pipe appears to be longer than most of the after market/performance pipes and it is about 2 inch/50mm od at the muffler join. I am guessing the only option is to find an oem muffler or oem replica muffler. Other than that....its probably a fab job. 618F1 - I will check Gowanloch, I did look at their site but I didnt see the Conti's. I will probably have to delay retirement for another year to get one of those Flattop - that pipe in the pic looks nice, is it muffled? If I cant put together a reasonably priced street pipe, maybe I could bodge a DB killer on to the megaphone and sell the OEM head pipe.

Hi Cal... My pipe is straight through loud. Your tuned up engine may not like a restrictive OEM F1 muffler. Steve Munroe(I think?) posted something about making a "slip on" muffler that fit onto the end of a racing exhaust, to pass scrutineering. Less noise and basically the same performance. It was either on this site or Loud Bike. Regards... Flattop

Changing subjects, the Harley FXR guyz had an event out at Willow Springs this last weekend that included a track day on the small track. It was only $50 bucks for the track session and supposedly open to all bikes. I almost went, but I chickened out, I couldnt live with the thought that an FXR might go faster than me, a Harley beat a Ducati, it was 100 degrees, and I thought those Harley guyz might rape me if I showed up on an Italian bike.....it was probably good that I didnt go?

The Conti can be seen on the LS replica on this site. It is straight thru with the cheese grater insides. Not long. Perfect fit for stock header.
Ian probably sold all the black chrome, and was then selling bare and ceramic coated ones.
Paul’s will work.

Yep that's the nice one. Only thing is, the hanger bracket has been removed from your bike. Flattop
