Trying to track down a fairing mount (or at least the top half). I don't need anything perfect or fancy. Will entertain ideas. The existing wire tie down not doing it for me. Besides, it's just not that secure.

(I know it's pretty simple to fab but a little hard with a Sears drill press and chop saw!)

Adding...I have reached out to Ed Milich and Ian Gowanloch, neither has one laying around.

Ironically you could easily make one with just a Sears drill press and a chop saw. Just start with a piece of round stock of the correct diameter. -C

They really are pretty easy to make, a bit of round stock,a file, hacksaw, and a couple of drill bits. Get the round stock of the right diameter[or close] use a piece about twice the length. Drill a 6mm hole vertically to line up with the threaded hole, then drill horizontally in line with where the cross rod clamps, 10mm I think? Countersink the bolt hole with the 10mm, file or sand the edges roundlsh then cut the piece in half horizontally through the center of the 10mm hole. Viola! you have a new clamp AND an extra that you will never need because you'll make sure it's tight,Right?

Been there but I lost my extra!

Hey Bill, you made me laugh! I bet I have a complete motorcycle of 'extra' pieces I have made to have spares and can't find. I aways put those parts some place 'special' where I won't loose them. Then promptly forget where they are. The biggest problem with making extra pieces is that I give them away to friends! Lou

Found one locally. Thanks for all the suggestions. I was getting ready to do the hacksaw version. the hard part making sure I could source the right diameter stock (haven't even really checked tho, didn't have to), drilling the offset hole on my trusty craftsman drill press and accounting for the material lost from the hacksaw. Technically, it's an elongated hole.

That ebay (Eurotrash) version nice but you're right expensive. Silicon Valley prices.
