Wow a really nice bike for sure. It mentions Adamo & Reno but not sure if this was their bike.

The only thing that bothers me about listings like this is the wrong info that is so often given. In this case, that this bike does not have Marzocchi forks. Those do not look like Brembo (rare) rotors either, or at least not of the era. The swingarm is modified F1 race, I think. Should be obvious to anyone with a decent knowledge of these bikes. What else might be incorrect? I then become skeptical of all I am reading. I guess on could say that race bikes never stop getting up-dated, and that is the case here. Restomod?
Sad, but not even a bid so far. But it is a long way off.

Where is Lou to give us the history on this one?

A beautiful bike for sure. Frame tags and race bikes are not usual companions. Frame numbers are usually stamped, but many aren't. Particularly stuff made in low numbers. I also question the engine numbers, as the author makes it seem as if the '650 3' number is standard practice for works engines. I haven't seen or am aware of that. That being said, anything is possible. I guess this particular bike has very limited history by the writers own admission. Period photo's in competition, would be great. Ownership trail as well. Just so it is not misunderstood, I am not disputing what the author has written, (except for what Mike mentions) what I am saying is for 30k I wouldn't care so much about history, It would probably cost you that much to build a bike of this quality, but if you are contemplating this as a historical bike you want to collect and enjoy and are willing to kick out the big bucks, make sure you get what you are paying for. For reference my silver/red privateer TT1 has no numbers on the engine at all. Another 3 digit number on a few components that jive with some numbers I've seen. The best part of it's provenance is that it was bought directly from NCR, period raced in South America and Daytona. I know every owner since day one and have recently spoke to the mechanic who was in Italy when the bike was ordered from NCR. My other TT1 has cases stamped 19-- NCR, the Milan show bike cases were stamped 750 NCR. Both with star stamps as well. The sand cast cases from my Adamo TT2/TT1 had nine characters/numbers. The reason I bring this up is anything is possible. Solid history and period photo's are your best proof. Pat Slinn is going through this in the UK as there are now two people saying they have the original 1982 Isle of Man bike. With Mike's bike that makes three I know about. Just remember what people say 'only 700 super sports left of the original 400'. How many Isle of Man genuine Hailwood bikes are there? Let the buyer beware and do your homework. She is a looker. Lou

Thanx Mike and Lou.........
Did they use the plastic belt pulleys on the TT race bikes? This one looks like the lower pulley is the plastic version.

Yes the early bikes had the plastic pulleys, later ones had the standard and some had the aluminum ones. I think this bike is advertised for around $48k. Lou

the right racing bikes must have the rider's photo above it, and you must see the detail from back then in the photo....existing on today's bike, otherwise...... Here a Tuscan proverb says.... The wind takes the speeches away... but the Livornesi steal the bicycles. I don't know what the translator will say, good luck!
