I have tried Italspares (Ian Gowanloch) and visited Frasers Sydney just this afternoon, they don't sell any pre 2000 Ducati parts at all, unless it is available for a post 2000 model!

You will find it easy. Must say I haven't had much luck there, but they do wreck Ducatis.

As separated parts these are scarce. I just bought a cracked 750 Sport arm just to get them. But, a good machinist can mill the big outside slider plates ($100US it cost me once), and the inside block and slider can be found on eBay as scattered bits now and then. There was a similar version used on the 1990's 750-900 steel swingarms; the end cap is rounded and the bolt is not centered, but it works. A small bit of filing on the end caps and the blocks and they will slide in. At least you will have something working and can keep looking. MikeV

Yeah, I had my eye on this eBay one too. I baulked at the shipping cost ($125) to Australia... at least it has gone to a good home.

MikeV is dead right! The side plates need not be milled-out. A piece of 6mm aluminium plate with a 16mm hole should be enough. Likewise you can fab the the slider blocks from chunks of alloy with a 17mm hole through 'em, and tapped 8mm at the ends for the adjusting screws...............maybe the end-pieces are a tad more complicated, but if shove comes to push, big penny-washers will suffice, at least until you can re-manufacture the Real Thing..............
