Got a price for the oil breather box for the TT2 of oldracing spares and its 260 EURO posted to Australia, I nearly flipped. Short of maintaining the garden hose and hidden juice bottle has any one pleaseeee got one laying around, or a mold for one or a contact for a reasonably priced one? Much appreciated Ed |

Try Syd's Cycles, St Petersburg, Florida. $100US in late 2008. They use SAE mounting bolts instead of 6mm metric; otherwise, fine. They also make many other body parts and panels, and can supply other hard parts. No website. email Malcolm at sydscycles1@aol.com. Phone 727 522-3333 He will eventually get back to you. MikeV |

Frames are slightly different between F1 and TT at that section, comparing some pics I am not confident it will fit. will use the emails provided above to see if I can source one Cheers Ed |

Hi Ed I bought the oil breather and the rear fender/shock cover from this company a few months back. With shipping to Australia (62 Euro) it cost me just under 195 Euro. As their website is not setup for international orders and they don't accept Paypal, I ended up having to post an international money order to them. The oil breather box whilst being very well made did not fit the Verlicchi TT2 frame as I had hoped. It is not quite the correct height, meaning there is nearly 10mm gap between each of the mounting tabs and the oil breather. Worst still, the inlet for the oil breather hose fouls on the frame tube, to fix this I ended up having to repsosition it which was a major pain in the arse. On the other hand, the rear fender fits perfectly, so would I recommend them? Not really, but if you do buy from them, make sure they remove their 19% tax from the price they have on their website. Regards Joe |

Hi Ed, I'm going to lobby for "the garden hose and hidden juice bottle" method if that's alright. Granted, this may work better on a Harris with the battery in the "proper" location. Years ago I bought a breather tank from Syd's, not realizing it wouldn't fit up on my Harris, so I went the bottle route shown in the pictures. It is a modified spray household cleaner bottle attached to the inside rear of the seat with heavy duty Velcro, with a clear vinyl hose on a nice arc thru the stone guard to it. Its cheap, light, cheap, uses readily available parts, out of sight, gives better access to the rear carb, and works. Holds up well too, we raced the bike hard with this set up with no problems. One reason I'm crazy about these little bikes is that they are one of the very few Ducatis that were only built to race. Race bikes are constantly evolving from outing to outing, so they're all different. In my mind, that is a big burden lifted off those of us that still play with them. I don't think we should feel too constrained about anything we do to them that works to get them going, except maybe putting lights, etc on them to put them on the street (add smiley face here - that last two cents wasn't directed toward you).
