Another reason why I like this forum..... so much to learn from so many people!
I would agree with you Carlo that the adjust for the timing would be difficult.
What is the most reliable available these days as I will need something if this proves to be unrealiable.
Bill maybe our bikes do have something in common, is it possible that the same hand worked on both bikes?
Where are you in Vt, I am heading to Mt Snow for christmas with family, maybe we can get together?

Paul,
I'll get that email off to Art today. I'm an hour or so north of Mt. Snow. Jimmy Adamo used to go there. Maybe we could meet for breakfast? I can try and coax Cranky Roller, our so called "tech expert" up too?? Send me a PM when it gets closer to Xmas.

Hello folks, been out for a while : bad crash end of August.
Here's a link to a blog here, and if you scroll down there's a bit about the TT2 of Xavier Billard with a super ignition. I've seen it in action, and know it works soI've bought one to fit on the Harris this winter.

I do not love go on that web site......It remind me too much anger :x
Fortunately, in France, as throughout the world, I found the good and the not so good unfortunately. I must say that thanks to my friend Vincent Rouanet, who he trusted in me, I was able to confirm the honesty of my work.
I take this opportunity to greet with affectionall my French friends ;) A bientot ;)!

However, if my friend Dick say me to see an TT2, I will go in that web site :)

Thank you Dick!

See you soon!

Carlo

Hi Paul,
I'm waiting to hear back from Art, but I'm now thinking it might have been the second owner of my bike that set it up so similar to yours. His name is (or was - I believe he has passed away) L.K. ("Bud") Rodgers, who was living in Wadsworth, NV when I had contact with him last. He was quite the interesting old character. His company was Delta Finishing and he designed and sold the Delta starting rollers on the side. The prototype actually came with my bike. I contacted him early on for info on the bike and got lots of great stories from him. I was particularly interested if he had any old spares for sale. He got back to me after rummaging around and pretty much all he had available was a set of take off wheels. I bought them and they turned out to be a used set of stock F1 red Oscam's. I'm afraid I can't remember what he had said about other racers, but I almost think there was something about an F1, which makes sense because of the wheels. He had riders racing for him and one of them, that was racing my bike at the time, was a crasher. At a race that the guy (3rd owner) I got it from was attending, Bud's rider crashed it again, and Bud was so disguised that he ended up trading it for the Darmah that the 3rd owner had ridden to the race. Bud's son raced (races?) cars, and last I heard, he and his wife Geraldeen were closely following and helping him. I actually still have what must be an 8 year old message on my answering machine from Bud (who called himself "Dad") that I don't have the heart to erase. A lot of good old crusty character came thru in his voice. I forgot to mention earlier that my bike came with that same early Verlicchi swing arm and even exactly that same rear stand.
Maybe the name Bud Rodgers is associated with your bike, or it came from Nevada?

Bill,
The bike did indeed belong to Bud Rogers!
Great story on your bike!
It would be great to get the bikes together sometime, are you coming back to mosport in 2012?

I knew there was something about your bike the minute I saw it! That is very cool. Not Mosport, Robbie has been after me to go to Calabogie, so we're going there. I don't think it's the DOCC one, maybe Shut Up And Ride(?). Did you get the bike from Bud's son? How did you find out about it? I would loved to have seen Bud in action with our bikes back then. He must have been something, and I'm sure he had a great time with them.

Paul, I also keep forgetting to mention that my bike also has what really looks like the same aluminum gas tank on it. It fits the TT frame a little better at the back end, so yours must be the same TT item. I'll guess he built yours after mine. And I wonder if he set up yours with spares he had for mine, or he went with the same items that were on mine, that he knew and liked and he knew worked. Mine came with RG500 forks on it. I switched it over to the F1 ones, which are much better.

Bill,
Bud is still alive, when I spoke with him on the phone he sounds like you mentioned!
He know lives is Fernley Nevada, not far from the place you mentioned. If I remember he said his son ran an outlaw car for awhile.
He has thrown in a set of rollers he had with the bike.
If only bikes could talk!!!!!
