Can you spot the difference? Do you know why the difference? ...and no prizes for spotting that one doesn't have a front fender.

LOL, Pat, you weren't supposed to comment... Pat had pointed out to me in an email that bike 4 had a RHS gear change, something I had failed to notice over many years of admiring this bike. I thought this was a great bit of trivia that in 1984, two nearly identical race bikes could turn up to a press launch and have their gear levers on different sides. Does anyone know why? Pat, stay shoosh The observation about the forks is also noteworthy, I believe that Ducati were testing RG500 forks on No. 6. as Jarno describes. The clearance between the back wheels and the seats does suggest that one bike may have a bigger rear wheel?

Man, I fell in love with that number 4 bike when the Alan Cathcart book came out. I built my F1 replica with this bike as the model. It is amazing how many Ducati's ran with those RGB500 forks. Reno Leoni had 2 or 3 sets but had them on every bike he built from the Cagiva GP bike to the big bevels and his speedy TT's. Lou
