Is the Verlicchi swinger from a 90 750 sport a direct bolt on to an 86 F1? Is it the same swinger as found on a Montjuic ?

It will work, and it will fit, but it is NOT the same. The cross-over at the bottom for the shock post is farther back on the Sport to clear the rear exhaust, and the shock mount at the top is about 1 inch farther back. The Sport version has four tabs for the clunky plastic fender and, may or may not, have some bracing added to the upper "U" tube. Length is the same. MikeV

It works fine, I have one on mine. I used it to replace the early Verlicchi I originally had on mine. Swingarm spindle diameter is the same as is width. You do need to lengthen the shock, as Mike said, about an inch. I took the opportunity to get Works to build me one with adjustable length, so I can mess with the ride height.

The earliest Verlicchi swingarms for F1 have the round tube upper brace. These will not clear a tire wider than a about a 150 section.

The later ones, like on the Montjuich, I've never owned, so I cannot comment on how it compares to the 750 Sport swingarm.

Hi, It may be prudent to note that the Verlicchi swingarms for the Montjuich, 750 Sport and 900 Sport all look the same. But as I discovered on my Full Monty project - where I have a 900 Sport swingarm - it is too wide to fit/swing within the frame: Follow this link :- Click here

It is like many have said, it will work, but it is not the SAME. MikeV

PS: there are even more versions of 750 swingarms arms than you can imagine; including one for the 1991-1992 750 with the big swingarm pin in front, but with 900ss style axle and sliders at the back; one wide, and one narrow.

I am pretty confident that the 750 Sport swingarm is too wide to swing up through the rear subframe. See Pics below where on my project the swingarm won't squeeze up inside the pillion footpeg hangers. The wider swingarm is likely the reason why the Sport has a different rear subframe to the F1.
To be sure, ask the seller to measure it.

Keep in mind also that the Sport has a Paso rear wheel that is 16" x 5 or 5.5 inches wide - compared to the F1's rear wheel which is a tall and skinny 18"x 3 inches wide. So the F1 wheel will look even skinnier. Though putting on a 16" Paso rear wheel (they are usually very cheap) would give you that Laguna Seca look!
Here is a Paso 16" x 5.5 inch wheel I prepared earlier :-)

Ok, so that would confirm that my swingarm is not off a 750 Sport, meaning it is "possibly" from a 900 Sport and if that is the case a 900 has a wider swingarm than the 750.
