Is there a particular way that the sprag assembly has to be installed in the flywheel? Looking at the sprag itself there is a small notch on one side of the outer cage - I was wondering if it is an indicator for fitting the correct way?

It only works in one direction, so just follow the gears. Jarno

You will know if it is in correctly if the starter spins when you turn the engine backwards by hand. You'll hear it whir and the engine will be harder to turn over.[plugs out of course].

Thanks guys. I'm actually assembling the engine so it doesn't have any pistons or barrels on it yet. I think I've got it sussed.

when you put the sprag in the hub the arrow pointing ccw should be visible.
