Hi everyone I'm new. My name Is Che. I"m looking for light switch and turn signal controls specifically the plastic thumb control caps themselves. Does anyone know where to look? Also I was told there was a lot of parts interchangeability with Guzzis and Guzzi provides better support for obsolete parts. Any help here would be appriciated, Thanks. Oh, my bike is an 88 F1-S.

Some of the older Suzuki GS's used the same L/H switch as the F1's. For example:

That's the route I went.
Bill

Many have asked about the individual knobs on these; I have never heard or read that they were available as single parts. See if you can find one not working to rob parts off of. MikeV

Looks like Steve at Bevel Heaven just got a limited supply of these F1 style switches in.

These switches are by far no F1 switches, look at the <P> labeled switch.

The F1 switches can be found on several Japanese bikes of the 80ties.

cheers,
horst

The problem is that as ALL the bikes of that era age we may have to use what is available and works. MikeV

I know...I'm in a rut on that L/H switch, but there was a long time when my F1 needed some parts for one. I think the closest switch assembly is Suzuki p/n 57700-31601 (number 33 in the parts blow up), as used on mid-seventies Suzuki GT750's, but which is no longer available. However, you can still get most of the switch knobs for one.

WOW! There they are --- Nos 34 & 35 on the schematic. Amazing. And the one ebay is still "useful". MikeV

Ducati used the handlebar switches and dashboard of (one of ) the Suzuki GT750 kettles on the first Darmah (maybe the later also)..
Didn't find any other Suzuki that used those parts and those twostrokers are becoming rare, as are the parts.
Try looking in the Cagiva section of your local superstore :-)

ciao
